Ronda is very average looking. If she wasn't a "celebrity" no one would claim she is pretty. Also the aura of being some tough chic also has something to do with the skewed thought that she is good looking.

Holmes is a ton better looking.

I remember seeing a comment by a Gladiator about that show years ago. He said the guys could handle losing, when the women lose on an event they lose their shit and can't handle it. Too many princesses that grow up being told they are the greatest and can't handle losing.
