MM's calves had a more dramatic sweep to them, but Yates' were mountainous.

Since FANKHOUSER's shapeless blobs can't compete with these guys, the final question is : Who between these two had the best calves of all time?

Years ago I had a business in Syracuse, NY and had a visit from a salesman. His last was Matarazzo. I said wow- that's a famous body builder. His reply - that's my cousin- he's a short guy you know. Lol And all those years it looked like he was 6'5" or something from his pics

Saw them both in their absolute prime many many times. Really different presentation. Mike's had more visual pop. Dorian's were harder, and more complete.

No clear winner IMO.

Yates was more impressive. Harder, more vascular and more shocking. Matarazzo's had a baloon look to them.

Here Mike is in the background admiring Yates' calves.

Dillet had good calves but Dorian has him beat as well. I think Dorian's were the most impressive ever when everything is considered: mass, vascularity, hardness, graininess. They were just plain nasty!

Look how deep those lines are from the side!

Mike's were not as impressive, especially from the front:

For me it's Mike hands down. I honestly never even noticed Dorian's calves until it was pointed out to me. Mattarazzo's calves you can't help but notice, your eyes are drawn to them, they have much more dramatic shape.

anyone that fallows bodybulding closely knows Matarazzo was the calve king (well one of them) but personally i would rather have dorians myself.

Have to go with Matarazzo, just freakier looking. Dorian and Dillett are right there too. Through in Vince Taylor for honorable mention.

Mike's calves were freakish, but they were emphasized so much more because his thighs were weakish. Mike's calves had freakier angles to them, but Yates were fuller and denser from all angles IMHO.
