Mike was far from his biggest there, but it gives you an idea of his bone structure. I never measured around the shoulders, seemed too easy to cheat on. about the only thing I never measured!!!

I think that was the same year I did the Canadian nationals. I was 5'9 and 226 shredded and dehydrated, so you would think I would look similar. but not even ffffinnnggg close.

ABSOLUTLEY...joints,limbs,shape,condition all play out on stage.pros are all very built or huge in mass already its the the othe things that up to a good stage build over an impressive gym build.

And the reverse also. I have seen guys looking very impressive backstage in the pump room, and disappear onstage.

Gotta throw in Mike and Ray Mentzer. Have seen both of their calves up close. Both impressive and huge in person. Matarazzo's are just just stupid looking up close.

For me it's Mike hands down. I honestly never even noticed Dorian's calves until it was pointed out to me. Mattarazzo's calves you can't help but notice, your eyes are drawn to them, they have much more dramatic shape.

Saw mike quite often in Venice. Calves unreal.

Also if note. James Demelo, and that long haired blonde kid that had nothing but cabs and was always in musclemag international.
