Getting married is for suckers and having kids is way overrated, very expensive and a huge hassle.  Best for men to stay single and childless, this is true freedom.  I've been saying this for the last 10 years.

This is actually a very good question. My guess is because he gets up and goes to work and works a shitload to support them and her staying at home.  He crushes himself at a shitty job and is miserable and eats to self medicate.
