Walking down the street on my way to lunch. An attractive but unremarkable woman is walking in front of me. We both walk down the same avenue in the east 30s then turn west on 32nd. At this point, the woman turns around and yells "Are you going to follow me for the rest of the day?!" I said "Ms, you need to get a grip. I haven't been following you for any part of the day." Then she goes "What a creep. I am going to post your pic on instagram. Why don't you follow me there, asshole!" Then she acts like she's searching for her phone. I don't know if she took my picture.
This is not the first time a woman has convinced herself I was following her, but it is the most hysterical reaction. There's this Anziz Ansari comedy special on netflix and there's this bit about how every woman in the audience has been followed by a guy. I don't doubt that this is something women have to put up with, but I also feel like it's something that a lot of women imagine (flatter themselves?)
