as if anyone makes gains for more than three years

if you grow after 5, 10+ years its cause you corrected a mistake you had been making all along (not eating, not lifting right, wrong gear, etc.)

Pretty much. If you do everything correctly from the get go, you'll more or less have fully maxed out naturally after around 3 years. Anything you gain after that, will be minimal at best.
