Both Nate and Conor's proper weight class is 155. The latter dieted down hard to make 145 and was much bigger than his opponents.

This is a very underrated position in MMA.

Amateur wrestlers use it to set up a leg attack or bodylock, but, in MMA (or the street) it can be used to pin your opponents' head to the fence and then deliver strikes. It was right after this sequence when things went downhill for Conor.

That's because he has been preparing to lose for a while now.  He knows he isn't half as good as the game he talks.  Conor couldn't care less about winning and losing or a legacy or any of that stuff, he is simply a money man, that's all he wants from the fight game.  He has simply been talking himself into fights, the luck of the Irishman was bound to run out sooner or later.

Nate has very long reach/arms, great boxing and a Mexican chin, ie he cannot be knocked out and can withstand alot of punishment.

Hits that conor connected with would have put several other fighters out, but not Nate.

It's not a new concept. Videos are the new pictures of today. That is the reason that he hustled to find a replacement when Aldo & Dos Anjos got hurt. Most fighters would just wait a few months and wait for their original opponents injuries to heal.
