Author Topic: Phil vs. Kai's New Rear Latspread - Comparison PIC (Read 4817 times)

A quick comparison of pics from each of their last competition. We all know Kai's traps are undersized, especially in the rear latspread. Kai reads the forums and knew he had to change something. He changed the way he hit the rear latspread by not spreading his lats all the way out which makes his traps appear bigger/thicker, but he basically gave up his width advantage over Phil. He lost separation, density and detail from his back in this pose. Except for lower lats and calves, Phil wins this pose easily.

Let me know what you guys think. Who wins this pose?

Kai will never win a Mr. Olympia due to structural disadvantages against Phil. Sure he has a lot more mass, but Phil's structural flow is just infinitely better.

Phil wins, easy. Guy's a douche, but he's got one of the best backs ever. Especially in the RDB.

Kai's rls is more dominant in terms of size, width and thickness of the back and thighs but phil is still impressive in the pose, considering what he's done with his frame while being shrink wrapped with vascular traps i'd give it to phil.

Kai just needs to be utterly peeled.

Kai looks shyte, all smooth n shiet

Plus his legs are too big to his back in this pose. No v-structure, phil looks better and I dont even like his rear lat

That's why Phil is mr.o,he's the best.Before I get flamed understand I'm no Phil fan nor a fan of anyone else I just say it as I see it.I don't understand all this talk about today's b.b.'s.I think they look better then the90's pros,different but better. If you prefer the 90's look that's fine, but today's guys blow away the older guys.Flex,Coleman,Nasser and many others had the modern look.It's the progression of the sport.I'm just tired of everyone talking down today's pros.I think there wrong and just want something to whine about.

You don't know what you're talking about. Guys today are so inconsistent. Go back to the 70-90s and try to find as many guts as you do today. All the guys today are watery and bloated. Rarely find that back in the day.
