Racism 
We have a black president and attorney general. We have blacks at every strata of society. We have programs specifically designed to give black people free food and free money for doing nothing but procreating. We have programs specifically designed to "encourage" colleges to take underperforming black kids over higher performing kids of other colors. We have programs designed to force employers to hire black people even if they are imbeciles to do nothing.
What the hell else do you want? If you want to end "racisim", perhaps our government AT EVERY LEVEL should be told to stop being racist against non-blacks. How about black people and white people be judged by the content of their hearts and not the color of their skin? That would be truly something to see. But we never will, because black grievance is a powerful political force and it is a requirement that the black man stay on the democrat plantation. So the free shit will continue and the black man will continue to be the democrat's cattle.
Have you ever once read a post from me suggesting it was possible to end racism or that it's only practiced by whites? Racism is an important emotional survival tool for the weak-minded.
In terms of your quoting Dr King, it's my opinion that he was talking about institutionalized racism and not affirmative action. AA helps poor whites more than it does blacks and everyone knows that's the truth. Someone who's a fucking loser needs to believe the black kid got in on race to feel better about themselves. The Black kids I know who went to Ivy League schools had 4.0 averages and great SATs but their hard work gets ignored because ignorant dumfucks sincerely believe Harvard, Princeton, Hopkins, etc... are driving through the hood grabbing niggas off the street so rich white kids can talk about having a black friend in college, LOL!
As far as the black President thing goes: I'm going to take a break from being PC and say it doesn't mean a goddamn thing. Very few people are wealthy enough to where the Presidency affects them directly. Anyone is stupid enough to assert a black President makes up for past racism, is retarded. If I said "There are successful Jews, stop bitching about the fucking Holocaust and making a new Anne Frank movie every 15 minutes" there'd be a long fucking line of people arguing how that period affected Jewish culture, Middle East policy, right wing Republicans, etc... but anytime someone mentions how slavery, Jim Crow, welfare, and institutionalized racism affected black culture people get defensive as fuck.
I'll go back to being PC as this isn't the place for calling people out on bullshit.
