Paul DILLETT's 2006 "comeback"
« on: March 21, 2016, 09:25:23 PM »
Supposedly he only trained a few months beforehand, and damn does it show. IMO Dillett fell really quickly, and was already more or less done by '98. He got gifted some NOC show well past his prime. Some say his best shape ever was the Arnold that he cramped up at, but I think his best was '94 Olympia or thereabouts.

Anyway, all of his earlier flaws are tens times worse here in '06. Chest is almost totally swallowed by a mess of veins, BDB is literally all delts. Taper is gone... hard to swallow.

I didn't even know he made a 2006 comeback. He was a shadow of his former self there.

That was the Montreal show iirc.
I remember listening to PBW and they had Dillett on before he was set to compete in that show. He just got signed by MuscleTech and said that thanks to Gakik or Lukik or whatever (the one that's a creatine with sugar in it?) he's becoming this monster and that he's never looked bigger and better. Then he goes out on stage and looks like he melted compared to his former self.

OP must be very young, thinking youth is something that will last forever.

No amount of drugs training, diet will make you look like in the younger years.

I thought this was in 05 because I remember the article in Flex. Now it makes me feel queer as I thought I stopped reading those in college. I remember the article said Paul looks "funky and chunky". I thought it was a Hungarian show.

Simply a guy who responds amazingly to huge amounts of anabolic drugs.

Nothing less and nothing more.

Dillett the bodybuilder is all drugs.

Sat with him and Johnny Fitness several years ago. Paul was in a t-shirt and shorts. Literally looked like a man who had never even set foot in a gym.

No doubt he was a good responder as some respond better than others but aren't they all "all drugs"?

He got ready for shows on old Brovel and QV. Didn't use the amounts people think.

In fairness to Paul, his shoulders were shot by this point and he could barely train. Should never have thought of competing again ...
