if bruce lee was alive today he would have torn to shreds by websites like "Bullshido" and the Martial arts versions of YouTube critics like Blaha, that Pocketliner guy and jerry

the internet would have destroyed A LOT of legends from the 60's and 70's

Nothing but a run-of-the-mill C-list action movie star from the 70s, who turned to a legend because of his pre-mature, James Deanesque death.

He'd be right there with Seagal. Let's be honest with ourselves.

the world has produced plenty of bruce lees who far exceed bruce skill wise, but the charisma is not the same.

Now days people are more knowledgeable and less superstitious, so the stakes are higher.

Can't hate on Seagal, the dude tanked bad in the 2000s, but some of his 90s flicks are true classics. In terms of hard, no-compromise, no-bullshit oldschool action flicks, Seagal was among the best.

Bruce Lee wasn't a "real" martial arts badass in the fighting sense, but Chuck Norris sure as hell was.

Absolute classic I remember watching this as a kid and thinking how gritty and realistic the fight scenes were. William Forsythe was the shit!

Bruce Lee was legendary by being one of the first to display that fighting style in movies.  He was small and very light so he could do some strength moves that made him seem super human but you realize it's no different that those skinny kids on American Ninja Warrior.

I actually met Bruce Lee many years before ENTER THE DRAGON when he was appearing in some long forgotten TV series ... the name of which I have forgotten .... Was he Kato or some secondary actor in a Hawaiian TV series?

I think he became a legendary figure due to the success of ENTER THE DRAGON which was probably the first Kung Fu / Karate/ Ju jitsu flick (?)  that appealed to the American public which was unique in the US at that time but completely saturated throughout the Orient.

His rise in popularity was somewhat similar to Arnold's rise in popularity.

I can recall seeing earlier Oriental (Chinese) fighting flicks in which the audio was completely off track and became somewhat of a comedy instead of an action movie. These early fight films were only shown in very old and worn down theaters in big city Chinese neighborhoods until ENTER THE DRAGON entered the 'picture'.

A few years after the popularity of Enter the Dragon some Hollywood studio actually made a comedy based on China's' inability to sync the soundtrack with the lip movements of the actors and it made a good deal of money.

I think he was way ahead of his time he absolutely loved to train he was conditioned like a seasoned athlete. He was a fitness fanatic from what I read he couldn't sit still for more than a few minutes he would stretch or do push ups sit-ups or something to improve himself.

lol. Imagine that shit in the cage. My guess is Bruce Lee barely has taken a punch in his life. Imagine Bruce Lee going up against one of the Diaz brothers who laugh when they get punched in the face...
