Of course he looks impressive. He's on a cover of Flex and photoshopped to all hell.
He won't beat Phil this year, next year or the year after. He's gone down hill since his 09 Arnold win and hasn't come in the same since.

You fellas do know a cover shot doesn't necessarily reflect the guy's current look, right? A great many are chosen from existing stock.

On another note, yes, Kai's done.

Having said this, Branch is BEYOND done, in every physical sense, and that turdlet keeps placing. Of course, Twig hasn't jabbed his tallywacker into a citrus fruit.

Placing vs winning. Branch will never win the O and neither will Kai. Sure, Branch gets gifts. Constantly. But they won't let him win again, as they should.

Legit lol.

Who is paying attention lol...

Seriously, how many people are actually interested in Pro BB today? I would be shocked if millennials cared at all. They probably realize the board shorts competitors are the ones that will actually get them girls.

No one gives a flying fuck, outside of naive young enthusiasts (was once one) and schmoes like The Mayor of Bodybuilding.

I wish Cedric won, then there'd be somewhat of a hype. And maybe that would have motivated Cedric to come in looking even better for the O. But now its same old same old. Phil will win, Kai will get 2nd. Dex, rhoden, et al will be close behind. Can't stand the lack of excitement at the O. Even the 212s are pretty locked in. It'll be Flex, Jose (I don't think Hide will come in like he did at the Arnold), and then a jumbled mix of Hide/Henry/Correa/Guy.

You know he use to work for Musclemag aka Robert Kennedy who probably put out hundreds of covers for all his various magazines, plus the books he wrote and/or had other write.

So he probably has a good idea of what is up when it comes to bb'ing covers

Kai is done and he just won the Arnold, Arnold Australia and will win the Arnold Brazil in a couple weeks. Makes sense.  ::)

Look at his right arm it's all torn up. He's going downhill. He can't beat Phil with those kind of problems.

I like Kai and I think he's very smart to focus on his other endeavors. He's already popular without the Mr O title and competition so why not focus on the opportunities he can create by doing the Arnold Classic and promoting his brand. He does not need to win the Mr Olympia contest to help his career. He's already managed to do well for himself without it even with a checkered past.

If nothing changed last year when prejudging clearly had
Phil winning despite everyone else but the judges saying otherwise, then nothing will change unless Cedric or Shawn pull it all the way off. I think Cedric should be the standard bearer because he doesn't make you cringe when you look at him and he doesn't stomp around the stage screaming and begging for applause

He doesn't "need" it, but a second or third place is almost a guarantee and that's either $150,000 or $100,000 (2015 purse). That's a lot of web camming and schmoeing even for a seasoned Kai.

Man, it's so transparent this time around. Gifting Kai the Arnold to set up the rematch with Phil, which he will lose again.

Yes but he could potentially make more with other endeavors and doing other things rather than show up to Vegas and lose again. The money is probably not that much of a motivating factor. I don't know what Nevada's tax rate is and for a show like that I'm sure the drug stacks will eat into it along with coaches fees. Why bother? He should just do like Dana Linn Bailey and have a 3 hour line at the expo and sell products there. Better use of time and money IMO since he won't win.

I hope Cedric sits his crazy ass down for a Minute and focuses on the Olympia. I bet Arnold would even have something positive to say about the contest then.

I think you grossly overestimate his earning power.

The Olympia takes all of 1 weekend to compete in. That's $100,000 for a few days. I don't know how many autographs Dana signs or diet pills she moves, but I doubt she does anywhere near 6 figures profit for 3 days at her booth.

Let's face the facts, as hard as these iron warriors go to battle day in and day out, it doesn't preclude one from pimping a supplement company or running a webcam business.

Not for one weekend but long term. If he diets and trains for the Olympia, that's an opportunity cost because he won't be able to do much else during prep. Why not spend time pursuing other avenues? He's already decided to go all over the world and do the Arnold Classic thereby raising his visibility and maybe scoring invites for guest posing gigs and new fans to buy his products. If I were advising him, I would tell him to consider his options carefully bc I personally would not like to see him waste his time in Vegas again if it's a foregone conclusion that nothing will change

Many people did not understand last year's show so why waste time?

But if that’s the case make the decision clear right now. Let’s not play this will-he, won’t-he Kaispeak dance all the way to September: “Kai stop the talk and say something.”

Looks to me like he's doing a farewell tour

They Just can't  have another lackluster show like last year. It is promising that the Rock and his wife's production company are gonna do their thing so they may liven things up.
