Supreme Court Won’t Unseal DC Prostitution ‘Black Book’


The Supreme Court refused Wednesday to unseal records a lawyer is implying would reveal an unnamed 2016 presidential candidate used an expensive prostitution service for D.C. politicians.

The Supreme Court denied a petition from the lawyer, Montgomery Blair Sibley, to have the records unsealed, which includes the escort service’s former clientele, reported NBC News. Sibley has said the records are relevant to voters and would impact the 2016 election, implying one of them is a presidential candidate.

“Time is of the essence,” Sibley said in the Supreme Court filing. “Given the significance of the upcoming political primaries and caucuses, in the looming Republican and Democratic conventions on July 18th and July 25th respectively, and given the impact of the presently sealed from the public record that this attorney seeks to release, upon those electoral deliberations, expedited resolution to this application is incumbent upon this court.”

Chief Justice Jon Roberts swiftly denied Sibley’s request without comment, signaling he didn’t buy Sibley’s argument for unsealing the records.
