Christian Bale's physical transformation
« on: March 27, 2016, 07:27:52 PM »
How the FUCK did Christian get down to 120 pounds (he wanted to get down to 100, but the director wouldn't let him) at 6'0" for the filming of the Machinist and then only months later weigh 220 pounds and had to LOSE 20 pounds for the filming of Batman Begins because he got TOO large? Those #'s aren't fictional. He actually did it.

I'd imagine he gained about 40 pounds after finishing the machinist just by eating like a normal person. The rest was roids and a personal trainer.

The picture of him super skinny is what every human who starts out 15-20% bodyfat would look like after starving themselves for a few months...I'm sure he used a lot of cocaine to curb off hunger...The other picture is him using male hormones after the rebound effect of his Holocaust diet...Competitive bodybuilders all across the globe gain 10 to 25 pounds in a day or two after their show. Imagine the amount of weight Bale would gain within just a few weeks after being down to 120 pounds. My guess his he would gain 50 to 60 pounds within a couple of weeks. He'd probably be around 190 within a month of eating normal. Then jump on the juice and hit the weights and 220 wouldn't be that big of a deal.  Bale at 220 is still 12 to 15% bodyfat. Very easy to do with a bit of anabolics at his height. Now if he was 220 and 6 to 8% body fat, that's a whole different scenario...

He's probably 180 pounds with 8% bodyfat here in American Psycho

Or not having a real job and being able to afford a personal chef and the best trainer money can buy. And "vitamins", don't forget the vitamins.

What's insane is this is the SAME guy too. One is a 180 pound guy with muscle and the other is a 230 pound fat dude.

Most impressive transformation actor of all.time imo. He said he got that thin smoking and eating only an Apple and can of tuna a day. To put on weight for Batman, he said he just gorged on everything, specifically ice cream and pizza but later had to trim down last second. The crew was calling him fat man.

10-25lbs in a day or 2, that's crazy. Surely that's gotta be alot of water weight

My grandfather got very sick a few months ago. He've lost 66 pounds in a MONTH, and he was not obese. Try not eating and see what happens.

His shape and condition in American Physcho was his best look imo. Impressive aesthetics (no homo).

There's no way he weighed more in DKR than he did in Batman Begins.

Motivated by the role

He wouldn't have taken the roles on unless he felt passionate about it

You're right. He supposedly went as high as 100kg's (220 pounds) in some scenes for Batman Begins and had to lose weight while filming (down to 190). He was around 200 pounds for DKR. He was up to 230 pounds (of fat) for American Hustle.
