The dash cam must of recorded something for the cop to have probable cause to stop him.. one way or another .. He is on probation..

jon was pretty convinced the cop was full of shit. I want to see the evidence first. Like really see some video material of jon speeding off from the lights as if he was drag racing, still no video of that. I'm with jon on this one until proven otherwise.

The officer was calm and professional. He would not have issued those tickets without just cause/proof. Could he have issued "warnings", etc.? Sure. But considering Jon's history, the officer was wise to force the issue to court.

On a side note, I chuckle at those who make immature and presumptuous notions about how Jones could "whoop" the cop's ass, at will. Just because Jon is a UFC champion does NOT mean he is some street hero who is a sure bet in a real-life altercation. That officer might just be a tough SOB with miles of experience dealing with thugs and street warriors on their own turf.

What likely happened...maybe not.. but likely..

Jones was at a light. As he said, he was just showing off to his fans.. revved the engine and when the light turned green he punched it. There probably was a Cadillac next to him and he likely was racing it. Not that uncommon. Cop stopped him, irritated because idiots like this driver put peoples lives in danger when they drive reckless. Jones denies what the cop just saw occur and acts like a jerk. Cop responds in kind. I would have liked to see the cop be more professional and not let his emotions interfere with the contact. He spent too much time arguing when it never resolves anything. Write the tickets and move on. He likely got more tickets than he would have had he not been a jerk. Don't know how many he actually got, but someone mentioned 5. seems a bit much but I don't know what all he was cited for.

Based on the videos posted he does seem to be a pos.

 Felony hit-and-run charge, driving without a license etc. He should think twice about cursing at a cop and calling him a pig on camera. He sounded high or drunk and got off without a sobriety check.

It's a tough one. Fame and shit doesn't affect the relationship between blacks and the police. Jones should have been smarter and not mouthed-off because there was a camera running. Someone in his position should trust the police less.
