AFAIK, Arnold and Jim Lorrimer are still promoting/organizing the Columbus event. If not, then who is?

I always thought that Arnold lent his name, did color  commentary from time to time and did an appearance. We all talk about how promoters have influenced the outcomes of contests, if Arnold had that much influence, then Branch would have won multiple times nor would Kai have won this time.

I don't know about the current situation, but I remember an Ironman interview from the early nineties where Arnold told that he's organizing the show together with Jim. I think that esp the winnings of Branch encouraged him to share his views. Being a very influential guy in 'the industry', this will def had an impact on the judgings, which -IMO- isn't a good thing.

Maybe it is. Maybe him influencing it will help the judges learn to pick aesthetic phyisques instead of ones that either look like over cooked chicken or ones that try to pack on more weight than is needed for their frame.

Yes. This. I have theory, I said it last year.  As the Classic physique  division evolves, this division  will replace the Mr. O. I don't know how long that will take but it's inevitable.  The judges aren't rewarding  the freaks like they used but of guts. And as they continue  to attack guts the bodybuilder gets smaller. Next,  attack lack of V shape.

Promoters of the show should have a say in the judging criteria. That will prevent this from placing top 6 in the Mr. O.

You may not always agree with the scorings (and so do I), but it's not up to anyone to tell the judges how to rate certain elements. If Arnold wants to do that, then I can apply for a certification and become a judge.

He isn't what Arnold likes. Arnold has made it clear he wants to reward physiques like cedric. I honestly think it would be best if Arnold had more influence and not less

Well, if Arnold has seen the stripping videos, Arnold probably does not want to associate with him. I could be wrong but this situation seems to be over a little more than a midsection issue.

Yes, but just like the women's bikini and physique look like women bodybuilders more and more, how long before the men's physique dudes are upping the dose too? Unless, like you suggest, they totally put the kabash on it and dq dude for guts and what not.

Kai was not the only one who did gay 4 pay. He was just the only one who didn't hide it and it's not a secret. I don't think Kai will ever be the IFBB company man so he won't win which is a shame because he would add some real excitement and energy

I expect Arnold's heard about them, is there video then of arnold showing his dislike for him, just I haven't seen any footage of him being off with kai.
I keep seeing pics of kai at the classic with stupid contact lenses in, I dunno I just see that as sad and I expect arnold does too.
