Yeah - that shit is hard.  I spent a few hours climbing in one of those places in Jan.   Can be humbling.

I'vd been trying to find one compilation that has this dude doing a finger plank (I forgot his name) and these women who were just beastly...the level of eye-hand coordination was off the charts.

IF Phil Heath or a prime Ronnie Coleman wanted to, they could have easily dominated this extreme "sport."

PARKER, I watched my nephew do that on some damn high cliff-face in Red Rock Canyon.

When he reached the top of this peak he did a back-flip and landed on a small pebble and lost his balance momentarily but did not fall.

He was a Cirque Du Soleil performer at that time so I knew he would survive even if he was two miles higher. (Most, but not all,  Cirque performers just bounce.)

Now one of the younger family members teaches rock -climbers in some fancy rock climbing 'gyms' in Nevada.

But I've been out of the picture for so damn long, I don't even know if the subject is referred to as "rock -climbing' anymore. Is "bouldering" the proper terminology?

In my day I was considered to be crazy simply because I did everything possible to climb the highest trees I could find.

Today I  personally prefer two step ladders.

And in my case anything higher would be "bold-er-ing".

Ok, I'll play the snooty purist.  A wall is a good way to test a climber but it's not climbing.  You don't know how good a hold is until you're on it so you don't jump around like that.  A hold that you can hang off is the exception.  Rock doesn't develop that way.  These guys might as well be climbing a bent ladder with oddly spaced rungs.  And the challenge of climbing is mapping the route, which isn't bolted to the cliff in neon colors for you.  This is more like an adult jungle-gym.

This shit would wreck literally everyone here, did it 3 or 4 times, when I first went I imagined myself just doing pull-ups upwards until I got to the top, oh how wrong I was!

Old dude laughing and smiling(.14sec and 1:10) as the chick is about to fall and when she falls. It may be that the old guy is a complete schmoe and has a upshot of Sly's cock and balls in those shorts as he's hanging on the wire and that's what the smiling is all about. idk. lol

That gif never ceases to amaze me... I wonder the degrees range Jay has actually moved from the start/finish of his chin up? How could this qualify as any sort of athletic movement? Bodybuilding...  ::)

Someone made that gif from a video Jay did. The range of motion was actually what the gif shows. Jay doing pullups in that video was beyond embarrassing...

He can't even do 1 legit full ROM pullup. Here he is using a weighted machine doing 1/4 reps...

Yup, if someone held a gun to his head and said "do one legit pullup right now or I'm gonna blow your brains out", there would be brain matter all over the gym floor...And bodybuilders across the Country would be putting on their pro tan getting ready for the Jay Cutler funeral...

To be fair, he could probably pull off 1 legit pullup.  But it wouldn't matter anyway because his heart would explode & he would be dead anyway.
