Another famous charity here in the States that you don't hear much about anymore is RIF -

.

I guess more people learn to read well now a days. You can't find the brutal ones anymore, but one just used to be a stuttering old man trying to read, then crying.

Back when the whole profiling of Arab people on planes got negative attention, the NAACP offered their help, and the people who were being profiled were like "no thanks".
