Milos said the doctor gave him a fatal shot of potassium due to misdiagnosis, but I'm not sure how reliable that is.

Thierry Pastel and Steve Brisbois were both present

I spoke to milos about hyper vs. hypokalemia.  he said the symptoms are near identical, and hyper is very rare in the real world so the drs. assume it is hypo (low potassium).  they administer more potassium, usually resulting in cardiac arrest; as excess potassium will quickly stop the heart.

Was working out beside him in Venice a few before he died. Died overseas if I'm not mistaken correct?

Shawn Ray slaying all the competition in that pic.

Even Kevin Levrone looking small at 225 that year at his first Mr. O, considering he was heavier at 233 and 236 in his 1991 showings.

Dude is carrying a ton of muscle but his lines took a big hit with that distension, to say nothing of the brutal gyno that has his nipples looking like Nasser's eyes.

If Momo didn't meet his end prematurely, do you think he would have continued to compete at the highest level, or was he already beginning a downward slide?

Not on the downside. 89,90 he placed great. 91 he was in good shapee but had pretty obvious gyno and hurt his placings. He was winning contests and placing high again in 92.

Shawn definitely ISN'T beating Levrone in '92. This is arguably Kevin's best showing ever, certainly conditioning wise

Momo was too short. No short guy should ever win the O...
Goes for Franco and Dexter too.

can you share them here?

E

Well I have forgotten a lot thank God, but I do remember hearing he was taking up to 40 clen per day leading up to the show and the only source of fluids he was getting was pureed apples. I guess he said that was enough when people had warned him.

Once he got back to his room he started to cramp. Steve B was there and I guess Portor Catrell was called too. He was cramping so bad they said he was completely lock up like a statue as he sat in his chair. They called a Dr but the language barrier didn't help things. He went into cardiac arrest and I'm pretty sure they did CPR but it was way too late. Even if he was in an ER I don't think that he could have been saved, just too far gone.

Momo and I think Padilla both beat a young 227 or 229 pound Dorian here in 1990. Never again though.

A doc was called to his room earlier who adviced drinking some tomato juice. DiPasquale speculated he was on Nubain or other narcotics, like most of the others, which may have made his vitals look "normal", leading the doc to not realizing the seriousness of the dehydration.

I always wanted to see pics from the last geand prix show which Momo won but never saw any.
