Is Sharia law really that bad?
« on: April 13, 2016, 02:03:23 PM »
Look at all the bodybuilders coming out of Dubai, India with that old school dense muscle look. This is a place that practices Sharia law and is today producing, arguably, the world's finest physiques per capita.

So, how can Sharia law really be as bad as the media tells us it is?

Under sharia law, if you buy a video game and it's not good you can return it within 30 days no questions asked.  Doesnt sound so bad to me

I'm not an expert on the matter, but I once read that islam doesn't allow men to show off much of their skin. I once watched a video about Malaysian politicians wanting to ban bodybuilding for being too revealing of the male body based on quranic verses.

If bodybuilding has scaped any criticism or effort to ban it in the Middle East it may be perhaps because women are not allowed to attend to competitions as spectators and also, the foolish idea that all men are heterosexual so there is no way men looking at muscular almost naked men can feel sexually aroused by such picture in front of their eyes...  ;D

If it entertains the wealthy ones it is very likely that sharia law will not be applied.

divorce would favor american men if sharia was in full power

and if a woman gets raped, she would get jail time because women can't have sex if they aren't married

there are good things in sharia

The chance of having four wives does sound very appealing tbh. However, I'd still opt for Mormonism if I was purely chasing polygamy.

Yet another religion thread that could have been on the religion board.

I think the fact that the moderator keeps telling everyone how to live their lives puts people off posting there.

I haven't told anyone to do anything.  Your choice to do whatever you want.

I've pointed out things that are sinful that separate folks from God.

Your question was addressed in the other religion thread not on the religion board.

The post is entirely on the positive benefits Sharia has had on producing top of the line bodybuilders. Is there something to it?

Imagine if a Congolese was following Sharia... 9x Mr. Olympia no question about it.

When your mind is free of perversion it allows for basically the zen-equivalent of the mind-muscle connection.

You are, essentially, one with muscle building and your body.
