Drug problems, yes. I think maybe he got a little carried away partying when he started cashing his WBF checks, because I remember it was an issue during the second WBF contest, so much so that they mentioned it on the voiceover during his routine (that he was dealing with issues out of the gym).

Good bodybuilder but weak legs even by '80s standards. Not saying he needs Branch-esque trunks and waddle around like a neanderthal, but it's definitely a weak point.
