They have no choice in the matter.  If you're Chinese, it can be very hard to get a visa to travel abroad.  Oftentimes, the only way to get a visa is to arrange a trip with a guided tour company.  This is why they typically travel in large groups, in buses, etc.
(Thailand recently changed the rules to allow visa-free travel from China, but most other countries are tough to get permission to travel to if you are Chinese.)

...Truth is, Chinese people don't travel much, and don't know what proper etiquette is.  They're not bad people, they just don't know any better.

There are a few in my Condo development as well, they have got fines already for smoking in the lobby & hallways & placing their garbage bags in the stairwells as they refuse to take out their own trash...

most rude people ever from my experience. off the boat chinese will storm a free food event like crocs at a wildebeast crossing. i see it wll the time. my company puts on events and seminars and invites well eductaed (but off the boat) chinese to come.mthey will load up massive plates with no two fucks given. i think its cultural "survival of the fittest" mentality, or they really just dont care about aanyone else and operate in their own world, ...

Try eating at a breakfast buffet with a load of russian tourists. Worst I have ever seen. Rude and greedy. Perhaps a related phenomenon- they got rich quick.

Now that I think about it; when I worked in the casino industry there were tons of Asians but Chinese were on the bottom of the totem pole. Known for being smelly and generally disgusting. Even all the other types of Asians looked down upon them.

bear in mind the gym isnt air conditoned were talking 90 degrees every day and 90% humidity that is how nasty they are , they were the same work out clothes every day and never wash them.

Japan and South Korea are very much liked, their fashions are widely followed, South Korean TV dramas are also popular, their pop music is probably the most popular (particularly South Korea). Japanese products, especially beauty products are also considered some of the best and obviously their electronics too.

In terms of culture, Japan and Korea are probably admired the most.

But they can be quite arrogant and sometimes look down on South-East Asians, especially Filipinos who are probably considered at bottom of the pile.
