Johnny Manziel’s Mexican getaway is off to a wild start.
One day after declaring his independence south of the border, a Snapchat surfaced featuring a young woman, who is reportedly bunking at Manziel’s Cabo compound, holding several baggies of what appears to be cocaine.
While it’s unclear how TMZ ascertained that the woman was one of Manziel’s houseguests, the Heisman Trophy winner told the website the drugs are not his.
“They’re absolutely not mine. I don’t even know that girl,” Manziel said.
In addition to the baggie holder, Manziel reportedly is shacking up with about 20 people. He told TMZ he plans on going sober and working out starting July 1 (yeah, that’s in three days) with perhaps a long-shot NFL comeback in the back of his mind.
Manziel kicked off the trip by sending out an Instagram mocking his father, who called his son a “druggie” last week, by including the hashtag #HiDad.
“He’s a druggie. It’s not a secret that he’s a druggie,” Paul Manziel told ESPN. “I don’t know what to say other than my son is a druggie and he needs help.”
With domestic violence charges pending against Manziel over his alleged assault of ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley, Manziel’s father believes his son belongs in the slammer.
“I hate to say it, but I hope he goes to jail. I mean, that would be the best place for him,” the elder Manziel said.
If convicted, Manziel faces a $4,000 fine and up to a year in jail.
