Can't deny it, that fact worked against him with the racists.

Maybe he could have tried to make up that ground by communicating his message a little better, or maybe he couldn't have.  Personally, I don't think he should have ever mentioned race in his platform.

I agree she's at risk for serious problems.  She soaks up booze like a sponge, and so does her husband.  They're probably getting hammered every night, to say nothing of many days.

That never ends well, and they're both approaching the age when that end is sure to come.

As for the coughing, it wouldn't surprise me to learn she chain-smokes cigars.
