Immune system response.
« on: March 22, 2006, 12:57:24 AM »

It seems during a cycle that my immune system as a whole weakens due to the amount of injections.

Every injection in a way requires its own immune system response, which is why you get swelling, test flu, soreness..etc.

You've got to figure that over the course of a few weeks, months that all these will somehow compromise your overall immune system leading to you becoming sick from a conventional illness.  It's happened to me a couple times.

I'm not complaining here, just an observation during a long cycle.

Any of you vets experienced this during the course of your cycles?

There's really no way to avoid it, but taking in C+E can help I'm sure.

I am no vet- but I got a pretty bad rash about a inch below my knee- stayed around for awhile- had to lower dosage - almost had to quit- but did finish up earlier than expected because I knew it was some kind of immune response to the hormones- cycle was going great too- hoping I dont have any of those reactions net time around.

I haven't personally experienced this, but the idea makes a lot of sense.

i do on occasion. it does seem to dip my immunity a bit after the 4th week. i usually try to combat it with higher dosages of vit c while on, along with my standard daily vits. along with the allergy season...im fucked. i just try to blow through it

It might just be a coincidence, but I got sick at the beginning of my first and only cylce about a week into it. I was taking Superdrol, not injectables or anything. It went away after a few days though.

I think you're right, there is no sure way to avoid it, like we all talk about "risk" so much on here I guess this would fall into that category...risk of less the perfect efficient immune system.

Not sure if there is anything I can add that you don't already know, but the C+E is definitely a good thing, along with sleep and a shit load of water. I'll say this though, I am a firm believer in that if your diet is very clean, even while bulking, this can cut down on your risk of getting sick...just my 2cents.

My diet is clean.......all good protein sources, complex carbs, vegetbales.....

That hasn't been a factor for me.

It's the number of injections.  I'm doing everything right, including hygiene and site rotations.....but all those sticks add up I think.

It's nothing major, not like I can do anything about it anyway.

It's a part of the game.

My immune system as a whole goes down the shitter, and without fail, I end up getting a cold or flu-like symptoms when I come off.  Not sure if it is from the orals or the injectables, but I thought it was caused by androgens in general, which can smack your Tcells pretty badly.

Exactly, like we always say, no one ever said this game was perfect and without its flaws, and I know you know that just as well as anyone. You know how it is, when you join the "Dark Side" you sign up for all the good and bad that comes with it. Don't get me wrong, even with the occasional irritations that may come about, the "Dark Side" is home and there is no turning back :)

^Exactly.  Sometimes it's amazing how I can be running such a good cycle and still feel like shit sometimes, which I attribute to the immune system.

I agree, just started my cycle two weeks ago and without fail two days after my first shot. I got sore throat, headache, stuffy nose and just felt like crap, it lasted about 3 days. It went away for a week and just came back again. I am taking a daily vitamin, plus c & e and that airborne stuff as well. I almost think it may just be seasonal allergies.

But without fail 9 out of 10 times, everytime I start a cycle I good cold or flu like symptoms...wierd
