I take pretty much all of my shirts or t-shirts that have this issue to a tailor. Quick, cheap and effective. looks a LOT better. Clothes should emphasize the lines of a physique (if it's good), not hide it. Usualy buy one of the biggest sizes and tailor reduces it at the middle/bottom, win.

or just order custom made online.   pretty easy to find these days.

You could always get an athletic fit sweater like Roger Moore in pre James Bond days.

Last time I read a flex magazine (15+ years ago) they would advertise shirts like you are after with the thinner waist but they were about £60 a shirt

I know this topic has been done to death, but I am curious if there is any new info out there. I am looking for a source for athletic cut shirts. I seem to be in a weird mid-size state where I need at XL for my chest and shoulders and no more than a M for my waist. I've been mostly wearing L, which looks kinda too tight up top and billowy on the waist.

What do the more classically proportioned Getbiggers buy? I'm 48" chest, 32" waist and 57" shoulders. Because of my shit legs, I'm all set with jeans  :-\

I wish I could help but I'm in the same boat.  I have similar measurements to you.  When I put on a shirt that fits my neck/shoulders/chest it looks absurd because it flares out like a sun dress at the bottom expecting me to be fat.  When I go for a slimmer fitted shirt they bunch up under my armpits and I look like I'm trying to show off or something.

Lol, what the fuck is this?

Kids clothes.

It appears to be a special line of clothing devoted to kids seeking endless amounts of swirlies, wet willies, and atomic wedgies

Yes but no reason to go nuts...Polo, Calvin Klein, and others make nice fitting athletic shirts.

No Kidding. One of the reasons to post less. Hate threads/Coach's daily feigned outrage and this stupid nonsense.

/good luck for the season.  :)

Try Diesel brand... They have very well made, well proportioned shirts.
