I usually eat a full meal about 1.5-2 hours before going to the gym. It usually consists of about 40 grams of protein, 50 grams of carbs, & 10-15 grams of fat. It's rather large because it's my first meal of the day.
While at the gym I'll drink a shake. It contains 30 grams of protein & 20 grams of carbs (I also throw in some Taurine, BCAA's, & Glutamine).
Once I get home I kinda "graze" for about an hour. I usually eat pretty clean & I try to make sure I eat at least 50 grams of protein. For example: Eggs, Pasta, Yogurt, Beef, Chicken, Salmon, Fruit, etc...
