President Obama says that Republican front-runner Donald Trump is not equipped to deal with the challenges of being president.

“I think that he is not somebody who even within the Republican Party can be considered as equipped to deal with the problems of this office, but look, we live in a democracy," President Obama said in an interview Monday with WMUR, an ABC affiliate in New Hampshire.

If Trump does become the Republican nominee, Obama said he's confident that the Democratic nominee will win in a general election match-up.

"If in fact the Republicans nominate Mr. Trump, then it’s going to be an interesting fall season," he said. "I’m confident that ultimately the Democrat in that circumstance will win.”

Probably not ready for the job, who really is unless they've been 2nd or 3rd in charge. Everyone would likely have a learning curve. The difference with Obama and Trump from my observation is Obama had some political experience, a working knowledge of the system. He wasn't hampered by a huge ego, he could interact in social and political settings without coming off like an egotistical 12 year old blow hard. He didn't have to be the smartest person in the room. Trumps weaknesses are of such magnitude it would not allow him to adjust and be successful in my opinion

If I had to hazard a guess, it's that Trump is so antagonistic, insulting and divisive that he pisses people off quite a bit. People who obviously don't have the self control to strongly disagree with someone without letting their emotions get the better of them and they resort to striking out.

If Trump wins, I hope he's prepared to do non-stop investigations using his own trusted people.  I get the feeling there will be all kinds of weird shit happening and he won't be able to trust the word of government investigators like the FBI.

Yes.  One of the reasons I didn't vote for him was his ego.  I watched an interview he gave with O'Reilly when he was running for president the first time, where he refused to admit he was wrong about the Iraq surge.  An enormous leadership flaw, driven by his ego (the inability to admit mistakes). 

As president, he didn't take advice from his military leaders about the chaos he helped create in the Middle East, including withdrawing all of our troops from Iraq after we had stabilized the country. 

He's really no different than Trump IMO.

Trump, on the other hand, is worse.  He's running as a conservative after spending his entire adult life supporting liberal causes and making liberal statements.  Tough to know what the heck he'll do as president.  "I hate guns" is an actual trump quote... yet Indiana protester says Cruz (who worked as a lawyer to fight for gun rights) is the one who doesn't like the 2nd amendment.  Idiots.
