1993 NOC after the WBF folded. Lost in the shuffle like most WBF'ers

His left bicep was triple the size of his right one in that fdb pose at the 93 NOC.

yikes!!! Torn bicep of peace. He and Billy worked out at the same hours as I at Venice bitd. As I recall and this was years ago I was hitting golds at night at that time like 9-10pm. At that hour there weren't many people there. Both were big and strong. Did billy smith also have a steady training partner besides Jim Quinn?  Seems trying to remember. I always had a very strong and deep squat. One of the things that I'll never forget is that big Jim came over to the squat rack and complimented me on my squats. At the time that meant a lot to me coming from him. That day was crowded with people and in the daytime as I recall. Golds was crazy awesome back then. Still is today but it was just crawling with pros both male and female.

Of course no palumboism....this was the pre-palumboism era.
Just an extremely wide waist, even if he could have kept his obliques the smallest possible.
Arnold had a naturally wide waist too, and Benny Podda and many more. but Jim Quinn was Mr Wide Waist Olympia.
Otherwise huge hard working bodybuilder, good thing he changed his carreer. Nice guy too I think.

(and he actually measured Flex's bodyfat at minus 3%. But that was before the ninja-attack. After that Flex got into comfort-eating. You should know that !  >:( )

This never gets any less creepy.  Do you say this to your friends in real life when a guy walks by that you like.

Looked good in the side chest, though. Guess it suited his build.

Some serious mass for the time but it just didn't flow, looks like a mix of different body parts randomly thrown together.

Great look for hotel schmoe sessions with heavy pec slapping, nipple pinching and bicep spitting.
