It worked on me and although I wasn't too bad, it kept me in check from my mother younger and father older. If I'm ever blessed with children, I'll always use that option. It doesn't have to be the first option, but it is an option and if used fairly and effectively it does curb behavior.  Like most things, it can be abused either too much or too little.

I'm 36, Hebrew and no kids. How often do you see that? I'm in no rush and I have no regrets not having any as of yet. Because if they became like a lot these little shit heads running around here today, I wouldn't be ok with that. If I ever do, it'll be done my way. Private or charter schools. Organic food, no television to brainwash them etc..etc...

Yep, pretty funny how it's taught nowadays that it isn't effective. For example, a few people I used to work with were talking about how the school was teaching them how bad it was. One was a party animal/promiscuous/rebellious individual that never got spanked. The other was a good young lady who got spanked. Both were trying to convince me that spanking was bad/wrong. What's the problem with that picture?

It isn't a first option but is an option in a good parenting skill set. Ever since this odd mindset has started kids have increasingly become more disrespectful, etc.
