The giant jump on York (and many older brands) is interesting, and is mainly internet based. Back in the early 2000's, it was mainly older guys, and a few younger ones that wanted nice sets to lift on because the industry was moving toward near total outsourcing of most fitness products. Now it's mostly guys trading them around like baseball cards. Sort of disheartening when you see a guy bragging about owning a ton of York xyz's, but still is a 175lbs of skinny fat.

He claimed that the bar was worth $400... he tried to sell it to me for $225.

I then offered him $100. He said "no way".

In the end, we settled on $150
