Check Facebook or Instagram and you'll see pages upon pages of riddled people with tattoos, piercings and pumped up on steroids. Everytime I go to the beach I'm amazed at the amount of people that have tattoos, its seems I'm the only one that's the outcast because I don't have one.

Over the years especially since social media has boomed we've seen a rise of all three things. Its funny that years past (Wes should remember) All of these things were a form of rebellion, standing out and being a "bad ass". Now, we're seeing the rich and middle class doing all three.

With steroids, girls now feel that abs are required on all their men. The Barbie complex has now become a problem for men. The Jersey Shore changed the game and now men...need to get their butts in the gym and get on some Test, maybe even visit a Tattoo shop and become "normal".

Someone on this board posted something about current society not caring about bodybuilders. Well, that is true only because it has become normal for men looking like He-Men and the easy availability of steroids.

If someone is so interested in building their bodies what would possess them with covering the muscle with distracting tattoos?

Acceptance? Being part of some elite group? Again, tattoos were part of rebellion but in fact that is not true anymore, its all a part of fitting in. Last night, some 20 something kid, wearing a 5% shirt was sporting a brand new 5% tattoo at my gym. I find this very interesting knowing some steroid/oil filled man has that much influence in some kids life. Interesting.

Just go to any pool party. I went to the Hard Rock Hotel Sunday Pool party and no shit half the guys there had this tattoo. It was beyond gay.

The one trend that annoys me are the whores with the oversized aviators wearing fedoras or trucker hats. It's the douchebag female trend.

Generation nothingness at its best, that's why We see this trend as odd and ridiculous. And you're right, why would anyone who's slaving in the gym trying to better oneself physically, ink graffiti or some other stupid shit on the work of art one's body is starting to become?

Tattoos, piercing and any other means to degrade one's body is surely a sign of mental illness, a sign of "being part of the herd", attention whore or simply a needy individual trying anything to get accepted by his/her peers.

At my gym, I'd guess more than half of the regular members, aged between 20 and 40, have what can be described as extensive tattooing.

It's a goddamn plague of a trend. Very embarrassing. To imagine so many are simply sheeple.

It's also a damn shame some truly hot wenches do this. Like, some in-shape lass with strong legs and milky skin "vandalizes" her body with useless, marring ink.

A majority of younger women today just do not conform to how I prefer a girl to be. Tats, self-absorption, fake everything, played-out shaved pubic areas, monumental attitudes, rampant sexual promiscuity ...

I've also noticed tattooed people usually gravitate towards tattooed people to date. I've seen teenaged girls getting tattoos all over their bodies to try and impress some boy that has tattoos. This is the same thing in the bodybuilding world. Shirts, tattoos, piercings, jugs of water, supplements, big long beards, snarling selfies on Instagram and Facebook...Just like their role models.
