He's 4 months out. You're underestimating how well Levrone responds. He used to lose almost all size during the offseason and balloon back up within a few short months to 250+ for competition. He won't have his mid-late 90's size, but he will resemble something closer to his early 2000's self.

Levrone is probably getting paid by the IFBB to do the O...without Phil vs Kai there's no reason for anybody but the most dedicated bbing fan to pay attention.

The outcome is still a foregone conclusion (Phil wins) but people will still want to see how Kevin looks and places

first he had to go through the whole preparation. the style of Training, the diet, maybe it´s not the same since 20 years ago. the tendoms, ligaments also are older now....the risk to suffer a serious damage is much higher than in his prime time.
i´d like more when Kevin is doing a guestposing ina hopefully good condition. If the package there is really good he maybe can go for the Olympia 2017. I´m doubt that he really compete in the "real Mr. Olympia". I believe more than the IFBB-Pro-Leaque want to sell more tickets, maybe for even higher Prices ? (are the ticket-Prices are the same than in the last years ?)

If the IFBB are endorsing his comeback, and his shape is decent, I'm sure they would at least give him a respectable position.

Of course, if he surprises everyone and his condition and size is great, then considering the caliber of some of the opposition, who knows?

this...Kevin was outstanding in the 1990s, however in the last few years he competed his legs were no where near his best and that was 2003-2004, for those of us that followed the generation of Lee Haney then Dorian Yates and company those physiques were outstanding Kevin's included, those days are long gone and that type of long break in momentum will @ best have Kevin (if he makes it too the stage)  coming in looking respectable (hopefully) but IMO his legs and back especially will more than Likey place him out of the top 10 but like everyone else from the era of the 1980s-90s hopefully he blows out in respectful shape I wish him well.

It's on it's way out.  Look at what they had to do this year to drum up publicity. A 52 year old man who hasn't competed in nearly 15 years is the main attraction. At a show like the Olympia, the main attraction is the bodybuilding. However after last year they cannot afford another lackluster show.

5 years from now watch what happens...classic physique will turn into classic bodybuilding and the open class will start heading downhill like female bodybuilding. Its demise will be slower but it will happen.
