I'd make some kind of a joke, I really want, but after recent happenings here, I'll stop myself. That's sad stuff really.. not for these people who commit a suicide, but for these who loved them. If I'd ever feel that way I couldnt' do that merely due to imaging what kind of hell my mother should live in for the rest of her life, it's so fukkin selfish. Overall - suicide must be free choice, yes, but it's still a selfish act, unless you've been living as a complete outsider for some time and there's literally not a single person that cares about you.

suicide by jumping in front of a train is too common.  It's terrible that someone feels so hopeless that they do something like that, and it's terrible for their family,  but think of the train engineer/crew.  He sees what is about to happen and yet there is nothing he can do.  There is no way to stop a heavy train running at speed in time to avert the tragedy.  It's a terrible burden and very selfish on the part of the individual who takes that way out.

It always suprises me when I hear how many people commit suicide each day.

If you look at it, it's clear that hopelessness is all around us but it's unspoken. Mental illness is making slow progress, but just think a generation or two ago you had people committed to insane asylums for life and things like lobotomies and the lobotomobile.

Tbh recently I've been noticing lots of people who are going insane, idk what's that, increased rivalry in a capitalistic world or fast pace of life, wanting to "do and have it all" but failing, but western society is certainly increasingly not well in mental health department.

Part of the reason of increased suicides may be the decrease of inpatient hospitals (long-term care). Basically, you're in and you're out, then referred to an outpatient setting. An outpatient program may not be enough to ward off severe symptoms of depression and subsequent suicide.

there are so many people fighting to live, going to chemo, taking a mountain of meds, worrying tons... just fighting to stay alive.

I feel bad she went thru her ordeal with the rape, that's awful, but intentional suicide for an audience, and multiple posts before it... she could have just as easily called a help line, gotten medication for depression, smoked a joint, had a drink, whatever.

I can't pity a person who does that, while millions of people on this planet are fighting to stay alive.  I pity them and applaud their efforts - this is social media whoring at its worst.  walk thru a fcking cancer ward.  meet a 10 year old who wears a pacemaker.  Go see the kids burn unit.  Then post about your suicide over and over.   Realize the value of life.   Realize your ordeal - while shitty - isn't that of a 9 year old on dialysis.

Sorry, can't pity this one.

Look at these cowards taking the easy way out instead of facing up to the problems in their lives.

i've always thought the majority are miserable and mildly "insane"

probably because 99% of the time i see someone, i think "i would kill myself if i were them"

These videos often are a cry for help, unconsciously these people probably want to be "rescued", otherwise u do it alone in the dark and everyone find out after the fact.
