So I have returned.
Just an update on the scene there for those curious or who may be going. First let me say that Thailand has changed a LOT since I was there two years ago.
DISCLAIMER - as stated in my other thread before I left, I was not interested in AAS. But did look over what was there. (wasn't much)
BALIHydrochlorothiazide 25mg = 395,000IDR (about $29USD) for one box of 20 tabs
Aldactazide 25/25 = 150,000 (about $11USD) for a box of 50 tabs.
Ok before I go further, look at that. You would think it would be the opposite. Aldactazide is hydrochlorothiazide/spironolactone in a combo of 25/25 or 50/50mg. I got 100 tabs of Aldactazide for $22USD. It would have cost me $145USD to get 100 tabs of plain hydrochlorothiazide. 100 tabs will last me about.... 4 years. (I could probably get 90 tabs - 32 month supply here in the US for about $20 copay... oh well) I only use this prior to and immediately after a long plane ride. Hydrochlorothiazide is quite mild and works greats. I don't use it in any amounts or for any length of time to worry about flattening out or wacking out my potassium levels so never had a need or saw a benefit from having spironolactone in there. Still... what a rip off. I just bought the Aldactazide. I plan to look at the tablet very closely and cut it in half and only use the half that contains the hydrochlorothiazide. (That was a joke ok.)
Xanax 2.5mg one box 20 tabs 18,000IDR (about $1.25USD)
Ambien 10mg one box has 10 tabs 110,000 (little over $8USD)
I use this combo for sleeping on long flights. 1 Xanax before leaving for the airport, 1 ambien an hour after take off. I can sleep up to 8 hours and make a pond crossing to France or UK go by in a blink of an eye. Even long flights like from FLL to Bangkok are tolerable if you plan accordingly. Bought one box of Xanax and two boxes of Ambien (total of 20 tabs each)

They had all the usual AIs, shit loads of EDs, and just about anything else except injects. There was an empty bin on the shelf that had Test Cyp on the label, but nothing inside. So no idea if it were amps in a box, a multidose vial, what the strength was, etc...
There are two types of pharmacies in Bali. One is the massive chain Guardian that has a very limited selection. No AAS of any kind. Unless you are looking for EDs, anti inflammatories, AIs, etc.. there is no reason to stop in any of these. Limited selection and limited inventory.
The other type of pharmacy is a stand alone independent run. There are not many of these around. The one I went to was Apotik. Basically their motto is "If we got it and you want it then we'll sell it". This was in Semanyak. It was a very small store. The owner had a larger second store in Ubud where the girl told me that everything I might want would be stocked there. Except for anything with codeine. That is a big time no-no over there. No idea why but if you even ask for that in stores they will practically toss you out.
BANGKOKI was also in Chiang Mai, but did not look around because past experience has taught me it was nothing more than the same as Bangkok but on a much smaller scale. (Slightly better prices).
You would think you could just walk in and buy what you wanted. LOL.... no. Well, yes... you can. But only if you want things like hair drugs, contraceptives, cortico/topical steroids, ear and eye medications, allergy, digestive, etc.. (more on this later)
The big chain here is Boots. Which ain't shit. Unless you are going in to fetch a Coke Zero or to buy tooth paste, ignore it all together. There is one pharmacy near the Skytrain one block from Patpong that is the one you want. I went in to compare some prices. No hydrochlorothiazide or aldactazide. They did have Lasix and it's generic ferosimide 40mg - 500 tabs (yes... 500) for 550bht. A bit of $15USD. The brand and generic was the same price. No interest here as ferosimide is something I do not like at all.
Proviron 50 tabs per box 200bht. That is under $6 for a box of 50. No shit. I was floored. Picked up a few boxes. Bayer brand.
Nebido - 1000mg x 4mls box of 4 amps 3750bht = $105USD
There was a space for Testovis but it was empty. No info to share on that.
So where do you get the good stuff? Not just AAS, but narcs, EDs (yes they do not even stock Cialis, Levitra, etc.. in street pharms), anything related to depression and weight loss. (Was surprised over weight loss but not really if you consider an obese Thai person is quite unusual.) Well you have to go to a doctor. But wait... it's legal isn't it? Yes. But it can only be dispensed (handed over to you) by a doctor. Sounds discouraging, but really it is not. The doctor charges about $5USD for the visit in addition to whatever the medication you want costs. You can even pay the pharmacist at the pharm (even the Boots pharm) to call around to the closest doctor to see if they have what you want in stock. Then you just head over, let the receptionist know you are here and she hands you a bag with the meds in it already filled for you. You pay her and leave. Never have to see the actual doctor. If you walk in without a pharmacist calling ahead, then you do have to see the doctor. Might as well pay the pharmacist 500tbh to call ahead so you don't have to wait. A walk in wait is about half an hour. Which doesn't sound like much, but when you see the volume of people that can come and go in that half an hour you will be amazed. Once you have a "prescription" you don't have to go back to that doctor for refills. You can take it someplace like Chulalongkorn University's pharmacy and they will fill it on the spot no questions asked. Or you can go back to the doctor office and pick up another (which is the best bet if you are stocking up)
But a word of caution here. The doctor will not write a script for as much as you want. So don't go in and think you are going to get enough to last you through 4-5 different cycles over the years. They ask for how long you are there. If you are there a week, you get a 10 day supply until you get back to your country. So you think "I will just say I am here 3 months then". You can, but then you only get a month supply. Or a two week supply of certain things like narcs. So if you are trying to stock up on oxandrolone or other nice things like that, you are going to have to pound the pavement and doctor shop around. Which is the time you don't want to go back and have them filled at the University or hospital. You just hit 5 different offices and pick up your goodies and be on your way. Sometimes you don't even have to pick them up. If you have been there before and are "active" (meaning they know how long you are staying and you are still within that time frame), you can have the pharmacist call it in and they will even deliver to your address.
