wait, lurker, you also believe Trump is a dem plant?
Do you mean if I believe the DNC approached Trump and got him to enter the race on the GOP side? Like they brewed up a master plan to have him run as a Republican? No. I don't think that is the case. I think he did it on his own for no other reason than to help Hillz out by putting the GOP candidates in the harsh spotlight and exposing what fools they are on issues. Of course, he didn't really didn't need a lot of effort to do that as they were already doing it to themselves.
I think he jumped in wanting to cause a ruckus, get a few "oops" moments and contradictory comments out of the candidates that Hillz could capitalize on later on in the race. And cause a ruckus he did. He mangled candidates, moderates, and the party alike.
But as time went by and Trump Fever took off he reached a point where he thought "hey, maybe I can actually win this whole shebang myself".
As far as what is in it for him... if he failed and had to drop out months ago, then he achieved his original goal of tearing the GOP apart. He's an entertainer. He doesn't need to win. He has other crap lined up to keep him busy.
Now if he didn't fail, like we are seeing now, then it comes down to either he or his BFF Hillz winning the whole thing. Which he is pretty cool with either option.
