That's heartbreaking work. My wife and I once worked as houseparents at two group homes for delinquent youth (mostly black youth). We worked both the boys and the girls houses. If I remember correctly, the schedule was three days on and three days off. We were required to be there the full 24 hour day allowing for errands and such. It was very taxing work despite all the support we had. There were usually about 8 kids in each place. The fellows were actually easier to live with than the girls, who constantly fought, were.
It’s certainly very difficult & stressful
Her home is for neglected / abused & Sexual abused children
That are able to live in a fairly open run home.
She has worked with children that were so badly damaged they had to have
Either 2 to 1 or 3 to 1 members of staff to look after / Deal with them.
It’s Absolutely horrendous how some parents treat their children & what they
Do to them - Honestly some parents should be Killed / Exterminated and I’d
Willingly do that to them. Utter Human Garbage.
The case files on some of them Kids is sickening so often.
