He wouldn't even place in the top 6. Heath, Roelly, Levrone's comeback, just for starters...Lots of pros with good triceps these days. Probably because of the powerlifting-inspired heavy training.
i'm sure Erik is only looking to get paychecks coming in from universal nutrition again
he used to work with cardiac rehab patients......he is mid 30's and he looks like a marshmellow in the warm summer sun. Not very smart.
Wasn't he working in the mine for a while? He looked his best at 202 when he turned pro. He should compete in the 212. God knows why he always goes up to 270 then back down to 220.
Not many guys can do well in the 212 being 5'9... Jose is like 5'3, Flex is, what?, 5'4? 5'5? If Erik doesn't put on a lot of quality mass on his upper body and come in diced he'll look like an amateur among pros. The 212 seems to be a short-man's game. If you're not 5'6 and under you just look stringy in that class.
Hate to agree with this, but you are correct. There was a time in the 70's and 80's when 5'9" and 212# was big enough. That time is long gone. Bah!
Still has potential, but comes in much to small at contest time. Bah!
Bullshit it still is. Robbie Robinson competed at 212.
