Most liberal people in this country still never heard of NICS and still think you can easily buy a gun over the internet.

what is the minimum training? I take it you have to go to a course to check you are proficient in weapon handling.

No. Only for conceal carry. Just to purchase you have to pass a written test and background check, then depending on state, you may have to wait 10 days to pick it up.

Geez... ok maybe funny for me because i served 12 years and 7 years armed security for the UK Army. Weapon handling is 100%. Then you are safe to shoot on a range.
