You have to keep at least 5 years of tax records but I keep all of them in case I'm audited...that's 17 years of records

Keep records for 3 years from the date you filed your original return or 2 years from the date you paid the tax, whichever is later, if you file a claim for credit or refund after you file your return. Keep records for 7 years if you file a claim for a loss from worthless securities or bad debt deduction.

I've been through an IRS audit when I owned a store, came out fine but you do NOT want to offer them anything more than the minimum. If it is 3 or 5 years... ONLY have that available. You won't make friends having a month more than the minimum

I can't imagine anyone auditing his business! He says this to sound important and successful.

We have listened to countless boasts over the years about how much money he was making in his businesses. All exaggerated bullshit.

Took today off work to go back to Whitey's Auto Auction for a luxury vehicle. I've decided to donate my Jeep to Miracle Hill Ministries for a nice tax write-off in addition to the money I'll get from buying a new home. Last time I went on Thursday but the best days are Tuesday. I was going to Livestream it but its not allowed however I will post some videos on Youtube for the process.
