Why those particular lifts with a barbell?  Why not a standard machine of some sort instead.  No spotters needed and the strongest will still emerge.

Powerlifters are a strange breed.  Usually shaved heads to conceal epic male pattern baldness, goatees grown to hide multiple chins and/or turkey necks, espousing hatred for blacks yet possessing an encyclopedic knowledge of Shane Diesel and Lexington Steele videos.

They also like to waddle around and stink.  They usually go for a tattoo or ten and then when they get injured, they start looking into crossfit or those stupid quasi-"patriotic"-bizzaro-"mud-runs" which feature grown men in tight shorts rolling around in mire behaving like a crazed homosexual starved of cock.

They also like to wear backpacks everywhere they go.

I saw him do dumbbell curls with 60's.

They should make it ten different lifts and make it like the Decathlon.

For once I approve of this epic troll job by TA.

I'm sure the hoards of 30%+ body fat powerlifters are too busy "eating to grow"  or they would be melting down.

No one could agree on which machines, and brands, would be used.

Covers chest press, squat and deadlift, without using free weights. Still tests strength and reduce injury.

Isn't there a John Henry vibe going on here? A sort of man vs. "The Machine" and all that insinuates?

A post centurion Anglo-fied "Bat Man" holding out against the (yellow horde) technocracy.

They should have a weight limit in powerlifting to reduce these fat fucks. 190 pound maximum weight.

Then we would have healthy fit powerlifters with low bodyfat looking like gymnasts. No overeaten pigs!

Tradition. This is key in all iron sports. Olympic lifting traditionally has a focus on technical mastery and style, powerlifting a tradition of incorporating at least two of the three currently contested lifts, bodybuilding a tradition of taking cocks up the ass for money.

Everyone has its own biomechanics. Some like wide grip benches, some close, some underhandgrip... Machines won't allow for minor athele preferences and needs.

good point

typically the strongest dudes per bodyweight are the '98ers and 220's, and alot of them still have fairly aesthetic physiques

Most powerlifters are 220 and under.  This idea you have that the blimps are the norm is based solely on that you've watched vids of these specimens more.

Powerlifters are just like runners. Always posting on Instagram/Facebook/Twitter about their runs/compitions, their food intake, what they lifted/ran etc. etc. Powerlifters usually look like those TeleTubbies, converse, eating everything and bragging about it. Buzz cut, beard typical. Tattoos.

Some bros on here need to change up their macros if they think pushing or pulling a fully loaded hammer strength machine is a demonstration of power
