MGS 3 was probably the best overall game I ever played.

The Boss was absolutely epic, and the ending better than any movie.

I beat The End on my first try - took two full hours  to do it.  Kojima took all his developers onto a mountain for days, and made them read books on sniping.  He said if half the people hated that fight, but the other half loved it, he did his job.

I loved MGS one, 2 was Ok, 3 epic, but tolerated four due to the ending.  Haven't had the time for 5 yet.

Did you like uncharted 4?

Phantom Pain is pretty shit.  It starts out great and you think its awesome, then you realize how easy it is and you can even make it easier if you really want to by playing Rambo style.  Then, half way through the game (when Hideo was apparently let go) the game transitions and you actually end up doing THE EXACT SAME LEVELS and MISSIONS a second time.  When I say exact, its exact.  Pointless shit.  So stupid.  Game is rather thin and the AI is pretty stupid.

MGS 3 was the best ever.  Shame they abandoned that style.

MGS 3 is one of mu fave games of all time. I've a Vulcan raven tattoo and a snake one, both enclosed in camouflage

MGS 3 was the first one I played and I freaking loved it.

I've played all, with the exception of Ground Zeroes. Right now I'm playing the Phantom Pain. It's absolutely epic.

The only one I didn't like was MGS 2.

Peace Walker was HUGE, and that was a psp game.

Are you talking about side ops? Cause they get repetitive, but main missions don't. But I'm on mission 19 now, I've only been playing for 2 weeks. So I guess that may change.

how is it more "meaningful" or "productive" to watch a tv show or movie, or browse the internet?

i stopped playing games back in 2002 and then started again in 2010, games are better than ever

Yeah well some say it develops your reaction times or "fine motor skills" or whatever, but who gives a shit... Games are braindead. How does it benefit you in real Life. After watching your Call of duty playtime you will just get depressed about how much time you spent on that garbage which you could have spent learning things or experiencing things.

I search information on technology, science, politics etc, and I participate in forum discussions and watch some user specific content on youtube. Alot of informative stuff.

I know just about NOTHNG when it comes to these games but a while back I got somewhat involved with this one and found it to be very interesting.

I am sure that the development of today's games are much more involved and complicated but I'd like to hear some comments regarding how much different today's games are than this one.

I thought that the graphics were pretty damn good.

A family member gets hired on occasions to assist in the making of a couple of these games plus the motion pictures that they are based on  ..... if I recall correctly it's called MOTION CAPTURE  work and his most recent 'participation' was in WARCRAFT which I have not had the opportunity to see yet.

That's just about the extent of my gaming experience but on occasions I take a few minutes to watch what others seem to be immensely enjoying within world's that never did exist.

Any thoughts on how virtual reality will be contributing to 'gaming" within the next few years?

Little background for you guys who may want to know.

When production started on MGS V: The Phantom Pain, Kojima studios was riding high. Hideo Kojima was in Konami's good graces and somewhere along the way, he and Konami got into a fight.

By the time the game was released, the studio was basically gutted and everyone knew they were closing it.

Kojima himself had stopped being involved with the day to day operations and things were just on auto pilot.

That's most likely why the beginning started well and turned to shit.

I have to say I'm not into GTA, too much driving. Some games are actually too big. I've the whole set of metal gear solid action figures in boxes. I used very big into all that. Before adulthood eventually caught up with me
