Guiliani always conveniently forgets to mention that his own father was arrested and served 3 years for armed robbery..yet he always cites his father for instilling values in him 
eh, I take the good with the bad. Nobody is perfect. My grandfather spent half his life in prison for robbing banks in Ohio, then various other crimes later on with construction bullshit, etc. But when I met him as a teenager, in between his prison stays, he lectured us on respecting women, never hitting women, always being chivalrous. Dude was a wheelman for a bank robber crew, but he was so adamant about respect for females, like nobody I've seen before or since.
values can be a weird thing like that. just learn the good as you can.
