The wife insult marathon was sparked by the action of Liz Mair's anti-Trump super PAC. I don't care what Trump did or thought of the super PAC or its links.

I get what you're saying, but that has absolutely nothing to do with Trump saying what HE said.

Two wrongs don't make a right, and Trump specifically saying what he said about Cruz's wife and family is absolutely fucking wrong and I don't blame Cruz for tossing the middle finger at him.

This may be true, but on no level does Trump have any right to do what he did. His "belief" isn't good enough for me here.

If anything, I commend Cruz in standing up for his family.

Slimy religious hypocrite, possibly... At least I know he won't take getting bufu'd by Trump and still support him. Compared to say a Rubio or a Christie.

Christie ridiculed himself by acting as Trump's lapdog and Trump treated him like an obsequious jester. If Christie is upset now, he has no one to blame but himself. But dignity is a virtue that is not usually compatible with politics.
