Men were so much different way back  then!

You’d get a 50 cent haircut from a professional barber (you could tell he was a professional  by the red, white, and blue barber pole out front).

And that barber (possibly your grandfather’s barber too) used nothing but a pair of sciissors, a comb,  and a straight edge razor.

And if you were old enough  and wanted a 25 cent  shave you’d get a hot towel slapped on their face and as it cooled a bit the barber would recite a story he had just heard from an earlier customer.

But it was never gossip!

Nothing like these GetBig tales we seem to enjoy on this GHetBig Board .

Back in them good old days the daily gossip and dislike for others was exclusively reserved for little old ladies who talked over back yard fences in whispers and hushes and a quick look-a-round to make sure no one else was listening.

But the guys back then seldom did any gossiping or hating.

If you had a problem or disagreement  with someone  you’d  either come to terms  face to face and depart peacefully or stand your ground and duke it out!

“Those were the days when men were men and the women did the cook’en!”.

You might have even heard that said by your very own  grandfather. Or maybe even from your grandmother herself.

Men seldom cared about the  gossip that their wives seemed to enjoy so damn much while hanging over back yard fences.

Then around that time someone saw a strange apparatus in th a neighbor’s house and said, “Hey! What’s this!”

“The wife got that. It’s called a telephone! pick it up and say hello to the operator!”

And gossip and dislike for some of the surrounding neighbors increased immensely as every home up and down the block got one of these new fangled communicating devices into which your had to tell the operator whom you wanted to speak with.

And that operator would  most likely listen in and then spread the news of the latest rumor way beyond the city limits providing that the telephone lines reached that far.

Now that someone invented this here  computer most every individual who owns one wants to take the place of those little old ladies who loved talking shit over back yard fences.

Men were men back then,(no gossip unless you yearned to duke it out) …. but now we seem to be  turning into something that reminds me of those little old ladies leaning on back yard fences.

What caused this change among the stronger sex?

Wsas it back yard fences, or the invention of the telephone or should we blame the guy who invented  this here computer.

We gotta blame someone fort this change …. but definitely not ourselves !!!

Blaming oneself nowadays is too old fashion and never to be tolerated.

Interwebz just grew a new whole generation of anonymous, shit talkers since childhood. It became common place to attack and ridicule people from far away.
They grew up saying stuff to people they would never say to someones face in a million years... Actually quite comical.

Modern pussy generation of peace pieces of shite...

The democratization of information hasn't resulted in smarter or better educated society.

A generation of whiners has been blooming since 20+ years but this is slowly coming to an end.
The internet overall was a blessing - never before was good info, if you put in some time, so readily available.

It (the internet) was a blessing in terms of porn, the occasionally funny cat meme,  and making information available to those with a knowledge base to sift through bullshit.

In the same vein; it's allowed dumbfucks feel smart through C&P and nitwits to solemnize trivialities and inflate their egos. Someone can glamorize a simple activity (i.e., jogging) and suddenly they're "battling the wind", LOL!

The internet has normalized dumbfuckery.

"The internet has normalized dumbfuckery."

DR ...... Well said!  And I plan to use it during my next presentation to a mob of dumfuckers.

Most of whom are smart enough to agree!

Thanks!
