Pete documented this through a bunch of interviews in Muscle Builder during the late 1970's. About 8 years ago I through them all out.

He was actually in a study done by the hospital, I don't believe it was Strong but some hospital in Rochester where they were feeding him high amounts of steroids to see what was happening to him.

Its funny because I remember reading all those articles back in the day they actually were putting a bunch of steroid articles out.  One that stated "STH the secret revealed" and back in the gym people pronouncing it "STEETH".

Now...just like these televangelist like Peter Popoff, Benny Hinn, Jim Baker...they get caught...but they still have millions of people across the earth following them. Bodybuilding still has these snakeoil salesmen, and eating 8 meals a day garbage...etc. etc. and of course people idol worshiping.

He told me that Pete would get high on some coke or similar upper and come in before closing.
Ken said he'd start doing one exercise with his eyes spinning .
Once he started doing tricep pushdowns at closing.
Ken opened the gym the next morning and Pete was still there, all sweaty and crazed looking STILL doing sets of tricep pushdowns .

Well, when you want to win they believe it. I watched a pro basically do the same thing at my house the morning of a show.

Pete was in a study from one of the hospitals in Rochester. They were feeding him ungodly amounts of steroids. He discussed this in depth in the Muscle Builder magazines. It was a monthly feature.

They used GH back then but not the amounts they use now. And no insulin. Insulin was being dabbled with in early to mid 1980's.

In Ronnies case it's the drugs especially his transformation in 2003/2004

What do u think he did different? He upped the dosages tremendously those yrs particularly insulin and GH

I think his initial jump 95-97 was equally as impressive...

His "transformation" in 2003 had as much to do with how off he was in 2002 than anything.

BFTO 2002 he was nearly 30 pounds heavier than he ended up being on stage. The only thing that didn't lose tons of size was his gut.
