NFL denies it sent Trump a letter over debate schedule
« on: July 30, 2016, 06:22:40 PM »
It'll be VERY easy for Trump to prove the NFL is lying - show us the letter.

Donald Trump, who has started to voice complaints about the presidential debate schedule, said the National Football league sent him a letter protesting the dates that overlapped with games. But the NFL Saturday said that's not true.

"While we'd obviously wish the Debate Commission could find another night, we did not send a letter to Mr Trump," a spokesman for the organization said.

Another Trump lie....amazing

I do give props to getbiggers on the political board.  They're not defending this.

They know trump is a piss poor candidate.  Most were not crazy about him, and ended up having to back him because, well, he won the nomination.

Now they really don't like the russia shit.  They don't care if he lied about the NFL, lied about melania degree, little shit like that....
BUT
They aren't comfy at all with Trump lying about how close he is to Putin.  Or how much $ he gets from Russian banks each year.  Or how much he owes them.  Or why he suddenly wants to pull NATO support so Russia can take over a few countries.  Or why he's even "joking" about our global enemy releasing 30,000 classified emails they stole from our govt.

They can't defend it, they don't like it.  So they're quiet.  I give them props.  nobody can defend this recent "Make russia Great again" stance that trump has given us.   Either he's secretly a commie sympathizer, or he's just trying to lose the race, doggone it.

He lied.   Changing his story now.   This guy is stepping in shit twice a day now.

If he runs the country anything like he's running this shit campaign...

"Made aware by a source" = WTF?  THe schedules are public and printed already.

Trump retreats from claim that NFL sent letter regarding debates

Source: NBC Sports

Presidential candidate Donald Trump doesn’t like the fact that two of the three scheduled debates conflict with NFL prime-time games. He claimed in an interview with ABC’s This Week that the NFL sent him a letter calling the move “ridiculous.” The league called him on it, saying no letter was sent. Apparently learning a lesson from the last time he took on the NFL (as owner of the USFL’s New Jersey Generals), Trump has backed down.

“Mr. Trump was made aware of the conflicting dates by a source close to the league,” Trump’s campaign said in a statement to This Week.

The difference between being “made aware” of the conflict by a “source close to the league” and having the NFL officially express disapproval of the schedule in a letter is significant, obviously. And it doesn’t take much for a “source close to the league” to make Trump “aware” of the conflict. The source could have been his friend Tom Brady. The source could have been three-time former NFL coach Mike Shanahan, who hosted a fundraiser for Trump in Colorado. The source could have been one of the various owners he knows. The source could have been Paul Hicks, former NFL P.R. chief and father of Trump’s current P.R. chief, Hope Hicks.

Regardless, someone provided Trump with open and obvious information about the scheduling of two debates on nights when the NFL typically plays games: Sunday and Monday. That’s a long way from an official effort to get the debates moved that was reduced to writing, printed on NFL letterhead, and signed by Roger Goodell or some other high-level league executive.

How many 'unforced errors' until we start to believe it's not accidental?   I have said all along - he's a dem plant.

He sure is doing exactly what a dem plant would to.   Alienate each major group he needs to win.  Next, it'll be a day until he shits on women in some way, after burning fallen soldiers, shitting on firefighters, forcing the GOP to adopt a pro-russian ukraine position he didn't even understand, and now.... what's next?

absolutely.  He has enough 'shiny moments', such as his really good convention speech, to boost his own personal stock for whatever TrumpTV thing he has coming next.  But yeah, the nation hates hilary and REALLY wants to choose him.  And EVERY TIME he gets a nice jump in the polling numbers, he says MULTIPLE crazy things, attacking 2+ groups at once, in almost a coordinates manner.

He woke up today and it's a new news week... so at 5am, he attacks a dead soldier's family because the father said something about him last week.  Trump wants to lead the free world - but is so obsessed with one ounce of criticism... I mean, MANY people shit on him at the convention - he purposely chooses to repeatedly battle with the dead soldiers' family?  THAT Is the one person he can't let it go?  Liz warren crapped on him, but he didn't keep it going with her. He has to choose the 1 family who spoke whose family offered the ultimate sacrifice... and then he claims he also knows sacrifice because he created jobs?

Bro, I'm convinced of it - trump has been in the media game for 50 years.  He KNOWS what happens when he speaks.  This is purposeful, and all these little trump nut huggers are in denial about it.
