Lawler vs. Woodley

Talk about a sitting duck.

Did Lawler even train for this fight? He didn't even throw a punch.

You can tell that it was a matter of time because Woodley kept on keeping the distance and Lawler didn't even try to close the gap or mount some sort of attack.

I've seen hundreds of fights, and even though I'm not an expert... I reckon fighting people like Woodley isn't that complicated: The guy has only but ONE goal, to knock you out in the first round. That's his only goal. This is extremely valuable information, meaning, the other fighter can mount a defensive fight in the first and second rounds and then... SURPRISE! Attack.

All these fighter that fight people like Tyron come out looking scared like chicken shit. Work the body, work the torso, move to the right all the time, et cetera. It's really not that fucking difficult.

Am I the only one who sees it this way? Robbie lost the fight before he even stepped in the octagon.

I was suprised that Lawler didn't took a different approach. Did he think that 'terminator/zombie' style was going to work for everybody?

That's why you have gameplans, I think Nick Diaz in a rematch would've tool Lawler like he did last time.

Woodleys is tailor made for Condit in a rematch where is knee doesn't go again or anyone who can take a punch with good cardio, Robbie should have kept his distance and boxed for the first two rounds like hes done previously then he could have just picked him off, I don't think Woodley is a good champion, I even think Lawler beats him in a rematch.  Thompson will get the fight but Condit should be pushing his position forward, was very unlucky to lose to Lawler, I had him edging their fight 3 rounds to 2
