True... the chest measurement was exaggerated, just like his arm measurement was.

I cannot find any photos from 1968-1973 where Arnold was completely off and skinny.  He was on all the time back then.  He simply upped the dose 3 months before the Mr.O.  I don't think he started cycling on/off periods until after 1973.

I saw muscle mags ran adverts for achieving Arnold's 60 inch chest back in the day. His chest was huge and immense and even today stood next current bodybuilders you can see his chest region dwarfs theirs.  57 was easily possible.
Way out of retirement and slimmed down a TV presenter visited arnolds tailor and tried Arnold's suit jacket on, it literally hung off this average guy and he saw Arnold's measurements, 36 inch waist, 50inch chest. He held is trousers up next to him and they were crazy long like he had supermodel length legs. Guess that adds up coz of his relatively short torso

I agree he had one of the best chests of all time, but that doesn't prove his chest was 57".  Arnold's arms were taped a little over 20" fully pumped, not 22".  This leads me to conclude that his chest measurement was exaggerated too.

I'd say they could easily have been measured at 22 at some point.  Basile measured them at 21 and he wasn't at his most developed in the late 60's

I think that Ronnie Coleman at his very largest had a chest around 57".  There's no way Arnold's was anywhere near that size.
