What I couldn't care less about is who is the best muscle man without any athletic achievement when I know he looks like crap without the syringe.

oldtimer this is what is weird when i was a kid, they have a almost magic draw to them, my family has a house on a lake, and that one summer we were up there for two weeks and it was cool having them on at night cause there was no cable tv up there then.

The problem is that these sports are buried in so much filler that you end up missing the few things you want to see. The format just doesn't work in the new media era. People aren't gonna sit through all this:

Bronze in the Olympics means you're 3'rd best in the World. Means alot in the judo duckpond. Just as it means alot for a bodybuilder to be 3rd in the Mr. Olympia. They dedicate their lives for that.
